Highway Code Testing

I'm preparing a set of 30 ish questions based on the Highway code. My initial idea is to base each question on ten of the rules in the highway code.

Doing this to help me get through re-reading the highway code as much as it is to try and teach the highway code!

Link to the Highway Code.

Highway Code Rule 2

If there is no pavement, keep to the right-hand side of the road so that you can see oncoming traffic. You should take extra care and

  • be prepared to walk in single file, especially on narrow roads or in poor light
  • keep close to the side of the road.
It may be safer to cross the road well before a sharp right-hand bend so that oncoming traffic has a better chance of seeing you. Cross back after the bend.

Highway Code Rule 1

Pavements and footways (including any path along the side of the road) should be used if provided. When possible, avoid being next to the kerb with your back to the traffic. If you hace to step into the road, look both ways first. Always remain aware of your environment and avoid unnecessary distractions. Always show due car and consideration for others.

Old Royal Navy College Greenwhich

The East end of London is awash with history, the Victorian pumping station in Thamesmead, the Cutty Sark, the Woolwich Arsenal and the Old Royal Navy College to name but a few.

Renovating Floors And Stairs

Over the weekend I took up the laminate floor from the hall, the carpet and gripper rods from the landing and stairs and did some more painting in preparation for the floors and stairs to be renovated.

The Old Kitchen in 360

When we first moved to this house the kitchen had this bar sticking out with a cupboard over it that opened on both sides.

Work Cave

The camera folder on the phone of most IT staff make for very poor viewing, checking serial numbers, connections and error messages.

This photosphere captures the server room as was in the office in Godalming.

Richmond Castle 2019

Scafell Pike 2016

Lance, his friend Jason and I walked to the top of Scafell Pike. While most of the walk we were in t-shirts and shorts we had to change for the snow at the top.

Mount Snowdon 2014

This is one of my favourite 360 panoramic pictures.

Taken on another training walk, this time I was able to stop for a photo as the going was slow and part of the team had dropped behind us.

Flooded Phillips Memorial Park

The park and the fields on the opposite side of the river are designed to be flood plains but I'd never seen them under water like this before and not again since.

The Flooded Car Park

Do not adjust your set, this was just a partial panorama, I wasn't going to stand there taking multiple pictures as my feet got wet!

The new code doesn't work properly with partial photospheres, I'll need to resize this image to stop the strange "pinching".

This picture was taken 24th December 2013.
