War Of The Worlds

Lance and I walked from Waterloo to Embankment, took the District Line to Tower Hill then walked to the War Of The Worlds experience in Leadenhall.

Visit To Windsor

Kate and I took a whistle stop tour around Windsor Castle.
As Kate is taking a group to the castle in a couple of weeks she had to do a "risk assessment" and I came along as driver and support crew. Of course I had to bring the Insta 360 OneX2.

In Under The Wire

I got chatting with Chat GPT and the time got away from me!
Today started off bad, flash rain caused the roof of the downstairs bathroom to leak, while addressing that I noticed that the outside plumbing for our bathroom is broken and did I mention it was raining?
All finished off pretty well though. Learned about Microsoft Power Automate today and added 20 more films to "Notflix" while chatting with ChatGPT about the best workflow for such a task.

Mobile Office

Not great for a long period of time but when working through some training and there's little typing to do it's passable.

Back To Work Second Attempt

Today could have been far more productive and the problem was not procrastination.
Microsoft Power Automate has the potential for helping me with a lot of things. There are a lot more functions within MPA than the simple email rules in Outlook which could potentially trigger scripts and tasks without my input.
There's a potential for gathering data and turning a lot of the junk messages that we get from systems into useful information.
The right way to do this would be to use monitoring tools, central log servers and disable all these notifications but since there seems to be a lack of willingness to do this, Microsoft Power Automate could fill the gap.
I say "could" because I've been arguing with CoPilot all day.
Co-pilot, just like any manuals, YouTube videos or Reddit posts always seems to have detailed knowledge on a version of software that you're not using!
Initially I asked co-pilot to set up a simple Flow and I'd then tweak it and it did!
When my tweaks weren't working quite as I expected I asked Co-pilot to fix it and... well that's where we got into an argument.
Co-pilot first told me I should do what I'd already tried, fair enough it didn't know what I'd done. Then it told me to "copy/paste" some code and when I did it picked up the HTML around the code and that didn't work. I cleaned up the HTML, pasted that in and that didn't work. Co-pilot then told me that the code wouldn't work as it had embedded HTML in it, which it didn't and so on and on and on. Eventually I tried a different approach to the problem which was more complicated but it worked!!!
I'm going to stick with it as there is potential. Just a little frustrated to find this is another service that's for business accounts only.

Medical Tests

Took Maia on an early morning drive into West London for some blood tests. After she'd done the tricky bit we went for breakfast then took the samples to the company that's going to actually perform the tests.
I'd booked the entire day off work since I wasn't sure what the time lines were going to be.
Once home, late in the morning, I spent the rest of the day backing up DVD and BlueRay disks preparing them for storage.

Back To Work!

Start of September is when the Citroen goes in for it's MOT. Just needed a couple of new tyres, surprising us for another year. There's some recommended work that should be done before next year if we're going to keep this car.
Back to work and hit the ground running. Spent the entire day investigating a problem and ultimately not only fixing it but also planning for some improvements.
Day finished on a bit of a stressful point as the reality of the end of the Summer holidays hit home and there was just too much to do and too little time.
Ash didn't help matters when he got so over stimulated at one point that he yelped and cried as if in pain and collapsed. With so many warnings about IVDD we were all worried. Once we all sat with him, he calmed down and we gave him a thorough check over he was fine.

Insta360 OneX2 In The Garden

The OneX2 replaces my OneX which unfortunately I broke.
While the lenses and photo cell are the same as the OneX there are improvements of the overall design which make the camera better to use.
Would I have chosen to upgrade from the One X to the One X2? Probably not. With patience and familiarity with the One X the same results could have been acquired.

Still Not Back To Routine

Normally on a Sunday I'd go for a walk with Lance. I messaged him, had breakfast, drove over and then messaged him again. No reply so I drove home.
Turns out that Lance had been awake all night watching his daughter's flight tracker and hadn't go to bed until 3am. Understandably he needed the rest.
Took the remains of the small tree that I'd cut down on Saturday to the recycle centre.
Went for a walk with Kate and the dog over Whitmoor Common.

Is This An Attempt At A Diary?

Trying to get a 360 picture each day, if I start by taking a picture of the Lego calendar then at least I've got that far. If the battery is flat I have the rest of the day to charge it and try again later.
Since I'm going to attempt to post daily, why not add a little diary too?
We got back from Stratford yesterday so today was a chill day. Only of course it wasn't.
Emptied the rain out of the top of the hot tub that had accumulated while we were away. Folded up and put away the hot tub as we'd only put it out in the first place for deciding where things should go on the new patio. Cleaned and put away the mats that sit under the hot tub. Dug up the small tree from the top of the garden.
The replacement camera turned up today so this was actually one of the first pics I took with it, along with the pictures of the patio.
