Hear Me!

The original Daz Digs has an audio file in it and thinking now, that page would have been transferred to here too, so just search "Paintball" and you'll find that recording from over 20 years ago!

I'm just not sure how this will display or even if it will work. With the miracle of editing you'll hopefully only see/hear the working result.

Transcript:

(00:00) I keep saying that what I want to do is to put some more audio recordings onto the Dazdigs website and I want to convert some of the longer posts to audio. Not so much convert, perhaps add audio to them and I've yet to start, so here's a start.

This is using the yeti microphone plugged directly into the computer.

(00:28) I think that any erm. Sorry, I started using "erm". I was very good at the beginning and then the "erm" started. Any text on here for this particular recording will be handwritten. Perhaps the future of AI recognising reading and I'm trying to think of the word. It's not transposing. No, not transposing, captioning yeah. Hopefully we can automate that.

(01:07) I'm interested as to whether any background noises are being heard, because it's quite windy outside, but I am almost kissing the microphone. So how do we balance this? Do we want a bit of atmospheric noise or do we want it all sort of close up? I think too much atmospheric noise will bring in the noise of the computer, the clicking of the keyboard, the tapping of the mouse, and I would like to avoid that if I can.

(Transcription by "happyscribe.com" with a little post editing.)
