Cleaning Up The Controls

One of the problems with the way that our home automation has grown is that over the years we've changed our preference of devices and with each system there's a different process for automation.

We started with Philips Hue and Google Home. With just a single Alexa. Automations were set up mainly in the Hue hub itself, often using the "Labs" function for special requirements.

Alexa quickly became the home assistant of choice when more and more companies were offering integrations that simply weren't available on the Google Home.

Now moving to Home Assistant I'm finding that legacy routines and automations are messing with the way that devices behave.

I remember setting somewhere that if lights are turned on late at night, or before sunrise, they should come on dimmed, I don't remember where this was set and now can't clear that behaviour.

Not all bulbs are behaving in this way, possibly those that have been replaced are not but the original ones are?

The Hue Labs feature withing the Hue Hub has been decommissioned as I can no longer see what setting were being changed by this feature I've now cleared any automations that may have been on there. Will see if this helps the lights behave in a more predictable fashion.
